Forest

A look at the new forest!

The trees have been made to generate taller, you can also spot Birch's unique shape

You might occasionally spot a tree much bigger than normal, with little bushes around the base!

Birch Forest

A better view of the new birch trees in their own forest

The old growth version of the biome features even taller trees, that have slight variation in branches

Taiga

The spruce trees in vanilla were already pretty solid, so I only made them generate a little taller

However, even outside of the old growth taigas you might spot the occasional mega trees!

Of course though, the aforementioned old growth biomes are still the best places to get your supplies worth of spruce wood

Swamp

Swamp trees get a little more variation in their canopies!

Mangrove Swamp

The swamps cousin also received some changes

Sparse Jungle

The sparse jungle can now have the occasional mega jungle tree to blend into the main biome a bit more

Jungle

Both trees have been made much taller, and the 1 block thick trees now have slightly larger canopies like old swamp trees!

I wanted to strike a fine balance between a lush and dense environment, but also actually enjoyable to traverse through

Savanna

Savanna trees also didn't need too much adjusting, so I simply made them slightly taller

Cherry Grove

And likewise for the cherry blossoms

Windswept Forest

Bumped up the number of oak trees to add some more diversity to one of my favourite biomes!

Dark Oak

Now darker than ever, featuring new small dark oak trees! Do note however, 2x2 sapling formation is still the only way to grow dark oak trees (I would like for this to change in the future however!)

Pale Garden

And given the dark oak changes, of course the pale garden would follow suit!

A great place for a little cabin :)

Here's the seed that I used for the images btw, which blew me away with these formations! Spawn is the small island a bit to the left of the center. All screenshots were taken with the Distant Horizons mod and also the Programmer Art Fix resource pack

New in v1.1.0 - Ancient Trees!

Trees thicker and larger than all the others around them

v1.1.0 - Ancient Spruce Tree

These trees technically generate as structures, and match the Woodland Mansion in rarity

v1.1.0 - Ancient Birch Tree

The Ancient Birch Tree can spawn in both versions of the Birch Forest, and this goes for most of these trees

v1.1.0 - Ancient Jungle Tree

The exception being the Ancient Jungle Tree, which can't spawn in the intermediate Sparse Jungle, only the other two 'fuller' variants

The Ancient Acacia takes on the appearance of Baobab trees! You might find something refreshing inside...

Also made the regular Jungle Trees a tiny bit shorter, now the Jungle foliage appears more balanced

v1.1.1 - Reworked Mega Oak

Made the foliage more distinct on these larger Oak trees, also made the regular Fancy Oaks a tiny bit bigger on average

v1.1.1 - Mega Flower Oak

Now feature a couple of Flowering Azalea Leaves for decoration and pollination!

v1.1.1 - Updated Savannah

Savannahs now have the Fancy tree variants spawn slightly more in favour of the Oak trees

v1.1.1 - Reworked Swamp

Swamp tree foliage slightly less dense

v1.1.1 - Wooded Badlands

They ain't lookin' too good... (but like, on purpose)

v1.1.1 - Bushes!

Now some other biomes feature jungle-like bushes!
